Sewage Treatment Plant (STP)

The Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) diagram outlines the journey of wastewater from "Dirty" to "Reusable." Here is the step-by-step breakdown:
-
Collection & Pre-Treatment (The Physical Stage):
-
Oil & Grease Trap: Since oil floats, this chamber skims off kitchen grease and fats. This is critical because grease can kill the bacteria used in the next stage.
-
Equalization Tank: Sewage doesn't come at a constant speed (morning usage is high, night is low). This tank acts as a buffer to mix the water and feed it forward at a constant rate.
-
-
Bar Screen: The raw sewage enters here first. A physical grate catches large solid items like plastics, rags, and leaves to prevent them from damaging the pumps.
-
Biological Treatment (The "Living" Stage):
-
Aeration Tank (Bio-Reactor): This is the engine of the system. Air blowers pump oxygen into the water. Specialized bacteria (biomass) use this oxygen to "eat" the organic pollutants in the sewage. In technologies like MBBR, you will see small plastic media floating here to give bacteria a home.
-
Tube Settler / Clarifier: The water flows here after aeration. The bacteria form heavy clumps (sludge) and sink to the bottom. The clear water rises to the top and overflows into the next tank.
-
-
Tertiary Treatment (The Polishing Stage):
-
Filtration (MGF & ACF): Just like in the RO plant, the clear water passes through Sand and Carbon filters to remove any remaining suspended particles, traces of color, or smell.
-
Disinfection: The final step where Chlorine (hypochlorite) is dosed to kill harmful pathogens (E. coli), making the water safe for gardening or toilet flushing.
-
At Water DNA, we provide robust and sustainable Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) solutions that help industries, residential communities, commercial establishments, and institutions efficiently manage and treat their wastewater. Our STPs are designed to meet stringent environmental standards while enabling water reuse and reducing ecological impact.
Overview
Wastewater from domestic and industrial sources contains harmful pollutants, organic matter, and pathogens. Our STP systems use advanced biological and mechanical processes to remove contaminants, ensuring treated water is safe for disposal or reuse in landscaping, flushing, or industrial utilities.
Whether you require a compact plant for a housing society or a large-scale installation for a commercial zone, Water DNA delivers tailor-made, fully automated, and eco-friendly treatment systems.
Applications:
-
Residential Apartments & Gated Communities
